I just moved in to the new HDB apartment and the house is currently undergoing home improvement project where my rented apartment is affected. Can I demand compensation from landlord in such case? Is the landlord legally obligned to give me compensation?

Thanks for your help!

Dear tenant,

Under which clause of the tenancy agreement are you going to demand for compensation from landlord? If there is such a clause stated in the tenancy agreement, then you have every right to do so.
