I inherited my HDB but I am overseas. I have a tenant wanting to rent the place. The house is still under MOP. I understand I have to get approval from HDB but needs a POA. How long does it take HDB to approval my application in such cases? Is it possible to get POA done online? Can everything be done within 2 weeks?

Yes, you may appoint a Power Of Attorney to assist in these administrative matters, however, the appeal to HDB to allow for sublet may not necessarily be approved and status could take more than 2 weeks. It is not a straightforward approval to sublet before MOP. It will be better if you are able to follow up closely on this with HDB.

By the way, yes sure you may just appoint a POA and pls feel free to let me know if you do need any contacts of a law firm to handle alright. Also, with regards to subletting the whole flat before MOP, the appeal would be a case to case basis and it may take up to a month for the HDB to reply you.
