I have inquiries related to maintenance of kitchen pipe within individual residence units in condominium:

1) who is responsible
- Management or owners of the units

2) If my down stair unit (who just bought the unit & now doing entire house renovation) claimed that there is water marks at their kitchen piping (meaning , there could be previous leakage from my unit ), do I fully pay for the change of piping for my down stair unit ? Which Strata Management Act state about the responsibility?

Kindly advise. Thks.

They also claimed that the pipes are corroded.

Note : Possible reason for no leakage at down stair kitchen piping now is that I did not use kitchen sink for past months .

Dear Owner,

Re: Today’s SG Professional Choice- SGAgent.com & SGRealtor.com

Since you mentioned new buyer doing renovation, the project must be at least 5 years and above.

Owner of the units will bear the repair costs of the piping. If downstair ask u to bear the repair costs, it will depend on yourself under good wills.

Usually, lower floor owner will not bother to ask the higher floor to pay for piping repair. Since any delay, they will be the ones who suffer. Unless, it have evidence that purposely shown you damage the pipe with force.
