Evening Koh,

Renting out unit is similar to S&P. Your unit's condition, asking price and facing will affect the popularity of your unit. Some landlord set in alot of rules, which deter potential tenants. Some agents do not cobroke, even though with the new CEA regulation. Did your salesperson expose your unit to the right market group?

Do feel free to contact me for further discussion.

Hi Koh,

Do not be surprised at this situation as there are many units out there available for rent currently, therefore competition is stiff. Tenants have plenty of units to choose from and therefore will definitely take up more time to market.

As rental prices in Singapore is increasing, tenants are more likely to go for units which suits their budget more than looking at the condition and renovation of units. As long as unit is not total run down, they will choose to rent these units first. Sales pitching of your agent appointed is also critical in winning tenants over.
