I am currently in a 3 room HDB flat in Holland Drive, which can be rented out for about $3k a month (bought resale, more than 5yrs and did not take up any grants).
I'm still under the old ruling and am hoping to find a private property (condo or private apartment) in Upper Bukit Timah / Dover / Ghim Moh areas around $1-1.5mil.
The rent should be able to offset the monthly repayment, but the "problem" is the 40% cash upfront since loan can only be 60%.
Is there any way around this?
What would your advice be?
