I am a landlord and my apartment is rented to a tenant. If the tenant places items in common areas, then who is responsible for this? My MCST claims that the landlord is responsible, but in my tenancy agreement, the tenant had assumed liability for maintaining the apartment.

Hi, MCST don't really care who is the tenant as far as they are concern. They only chase after the landlord for any complaint made against them or breaches.
