How can I find out the actual owner of a property? I saw a listing on a renting website, and was interested to rent. The person who interacted with me was the main tenant, and when she showed me a document of her tenancy agreement, she flipped over the first page very fast, so I didn't get a good look at who owns the property, and any contact details.

Is it a possibility that the person I interacted with is actually the owner, and posing as a tenant? Is there any benefit why an owner may register the property under a company's name? Maybe she found a way that if she is not listed as the owner, she has to pay less tax, or duties, etc.

Judging by your description, you should be a DIY tenant looking at co-living space. Highly recommend you to secure the services of a professional realtor to look into these ownership matters and 1 wrong step, you could lose out the booking deposit or put yourself into legal issues like trespassing. The consequences can be heavier than the professional fees you may need to pay for the rental.
