Hi there!

How much can we deduct from the deposit of a tenant who has caused great inconvenience by handing over the apartment not thoroughly cleaned, curtains unwashed n air con not serviced. Can we penalize him by deducting the intangible cost (inconvenience) plus the tangible cost (cost of cleaning)?

By the way, I believe you are renting out the whole unit and so your agent would be the one to go thru a list of items which are to be deducted from the tenant security deposit.
