If the contract stated is expired on 1st Oct 2015, you have the right not to continue the lease. Generally the owner should return the deposit around 2 weeks after the lease end. You may like to refer back to the tenancy agreement.

Hi Raman, in Spore we agents are to adhere strictly under CEA strict rules and compliance, which I do not think that this particular agent is daring enough to threaten you. If it is true, you may like to make a compliant to CEA.

Hi Mr Raga,

I'm extremely sorry to hear of this. This does not put the landlord's agent in good stead. You are able to terminate the contract once you've obliged it's term for the agreed tenure as per the TA. You may wish to speak to CEA with regards to this. As a precautionary measure, to avoid this situation again, if you would like to be represented in your next lease agreement at another residence, do get in touch and I will be most glad to render my assistance.
