1) If you are applying for a bank loan, find an agent can save your leg work of getting a private banker.
2) If you are applying for HLE, you may go ahead before looking for an agent.
3) Get an agent can save you a lot of time to go through the whole HDB website to read and understand. Knowing the process is different from understanding.
4) Agent can also assist you in your purchase plan, such as doing a detailed finance calculation rather than an estimate only, source for the suitable unit, arrange for viewing, negotiate the price, explain the step-by-step procedures, reduce your anxiety in the whole purchase process, etc.
