Hi,

My Fiancee and I are getting married early next year with supporting document to prove that its happening (Banquet, photographer receipts).

We are shortlisting a few resale HDB flats and thinking if we are able to purchase a flat before we have our marriage.
Can we appeal to HDB to submit our marriage certs 1 or 2 months after the 2nd appointment and still be eligible for the grants?
We plan on using the 1st Timer Grant as well as Proximity grant totaling of $50k.

Good afternoon buyers,

Do take note that you will have to submit your marriage cert by 2nd appointment if you are obtaining housing grants.

Perhaps you should email HDB and request for an extension before you committing on a purchase.

Under Fiancé and Fiancée scheme, you can opt to produce your ROM certificate after the completion. However, you will need to provide evidence for the event to take place. Do note that wedding banquet and photography receipt are not considered as proof of marriage.
