Hi.
Me and 3 other mates had been sharing a HDB sub-let room. Unfortunately one of the mate happened to leave singapore and 3 of us cannot afford the room rent by our selves.
As we have signed the 2 yr contract, we will be breaking the contract prematurely.

In the contract it was stated that in case of impeach of the cobtract the landlord is entitle to take away the security deposit.. so is it that we give up the security deposit or do we have any other compensation to pay?

Thank u

Hi Seongiu, besides forfeiting the security deposit, the landlord may ask for the prorated amount of the agent commission which he had already paid to his agent.

Would there be any issue is finding a replacement tenant then so you need not fret over the compensation?
