Hi, Is it possible to sell and buy an 5rm HDB apt within the same blk? If our valuation is $450K and we sell at $500K, then we purchase another apt in the same block for $525K, the extra $25K has to be paid by cash?

Morning,

There's no restriction in the HDB ruling stating that home owners cannot sell their unit and buy another unit, within the same block.
It would be a good practice to work out your financial status and ability to refinance, so as to clear your path for such plans.

Hi Lim,

This selling and buying amount is not a typical mathematical sum. The purchase price of the unit of $525k depends on how much the valuation is. Any cash over valuation will require cash payment for the unit and for the valuation amount for that unit, you can either take a HDB or bank loan.
