Hi, I'm currently under joint tenancy with my dad, who has made all payment thus far. I've only contributed to the monthly utilities bills and part of the renovation.
I've moved out 7 years ago and now he is asking for my name to be removed.
Just wondering what if I refuse to remove my name.

Hi,

1) I can only comment on the legal implication.
2) Under Joint-Tenancy, there is a rule on survivor takes all. Meaning the property is all yours if your dad passed away.
3) I think the main reason to remove your name is so that he could distribute the property among your siblings according to his wish.
4) He can only bring this up to the court to remove your name if you refuse to comply.

Hope the above answer to your main concerns, but if there are more query, please feel free to contact me at 90110636  , or email: ling.ck7@gmail.com if more information is needed.
I'll be glad to assist.
