Hi,

im a first time buyer and my wife and i wish to purchase a resale flat. It will be near to my parents, but however, im wondering will there be any grant if my parents is not living with me and i wish to acquire a EA or EM HDB apartment.

Dear Steven,

if you and your wife combined incomed is less than $8000 and You(applicant), co-applicants and all persons listed in the application for purchase of the flat must not
Own any of the following (local or overseas properties) or have disposed of one within 30 months prior to the application:
- Private residential property (including HUDC flat, Executive Condominium)
- House
- Building
- Land

If you fulfil the above, you will get the $40,000 1st timer (both singaporean) stay near parents grant.
