I have recently rented out my 2brm unit in a condo and i realised that in the Tenancy Agreement, the rental is broken up into 3 components (rental, Hire of furniture, and maintenance charges). Can someone kindly advise what is the logic of breaking up the whole rental? N will i be taxed on the whole rental or just the rental amount stated in the first component? My friends told me this is the mkt practice but does anyone knows the logic behind? Thank you.
