Hi,
I had purchased a 3-room resale flat using the CPF housing grant with my ex-spouse previously. The flat has since been sold. I have remarried (my spouse is a first timer, he has never owned a property before) and is looking to apply for a BTO. I’d like to enquire I’m the following:
1. What are the HDB grants that I / we will be eligible for?
2. I understand that there is a resale levy of $30k to be paid in cash. Even if in the case of a divorce that the flat is disposed off, do I still have to pay the full $30k or only 50% of the $30k (I.e. $15k)?
3. When will the resale levy be payable during the process of applying for a BTO? Is it during the first appointment when making payment for the option fee? Or during signing of the lease agreement? Or during keys collection?
