I currently have a Executive Condominum unit which is almost 10 yrs old.
Would it make more investment sense to sell it to buy a FH property since leasehold property may not have much capital appreciation esp after 15-20 yrs old ?

what is your reason to buy a freehold or landed or condo?
a good agt can guide you on the properties that have good rental returns, sales trend, euqity return, financial planning,capital gain,property index..

To add on to what my other colleagues have said, you have to put into account the new quantum you are looking at and the range you are committing yourself into as compared to other owners of the same development.

Hi Wira,

The worth of a property is not solely based on its lease. There are some freehold properties that are transacting less tha leasehold properties by as much as $100 per sq ft. The value of the property depends very much on its location, rental yield and capital gain, etc.

Most of the owners of leasehold property tends to dispose off their unit during the 10th - 15th years.

It will be good for you to do an in depth studies in the trend of your condo development before u make any decision. Do let me know should u need more help.
