Hi I am planning to buy a resale HDB next year as I am turning 35. And, in about 3-5 years, I am planning to move to Australia. I will have my Aus PR by then. So May I know if I can purchase a property in Australia even if my HDB has not attained the 5year MOP?

Before the 5year MOP, will I be able to buy a property in Australia once I’ve attained Aus PR status?

Hi

During your MOP, you are not allow to have any interest in other property locally or overseas.

For the purchase of Australian property, you will be subjected to their regulation pertaining to your residency status.

You will only be able to purchase another residential property (be it local and overseas) after you have served your 5-year MOP for your HDB resale flat.
