Hi, I am interested in looking for a 4-room flat in Woodlands at around 250k to 300k. My husband and I are trying to apply for a loan of 200k from HDB but we are not sure if it will be approved as he recently became self-employed. He does not have an income tax slip yet as he has just started his freelancing not long ago but he did have all the invoices he used to bill his clients.
I am currently employed as a civil servant at the salary of 2.7k per month...his average income is around 2.2k to 2.5k per month currently. Is it possible for us to get the loan from HDB? If not, any other sources which you can suggest to us so that we are able to finance our first house? Both of us do not have any bad credit ratings and this is our first time getting a house.
