Hi Gurus,
I understand that there is a 5 years MOP if I own a HDB before I can buy an oversea property.
But can I serve a housing loan in Malaysia within MOP period as I am helping my father in law to get a longer repayment period for housing loan. I am a Malaysian PR who has just got a HDB flat for 2 years.
The Malaysia property will not be under my name and its solely under my father in law's. But Malaysian bank actually offered us to apply for housing loan under me and my father in law. So my question is, by serving housing loan, will it violate MOP rules? Thanks.
