Hi Gurus!

Hope the experts here can help me with this question.

For ethnic quota, does it refer to our Option date or the exercise date?

For eg, my option date is on the 15th oct but my exercise date is on the 1st Nov.
Will HDB change the ethnic quota for that block on the 1st Nov and what are the chances that this will affect me as a buyer?

Hi, the ethnic quota will be updated on the 1st day of every month.

Its based on the date that the resale application is submitted, which is likely Nov for your case. Thanks and hope it helps.

Good morning,

The ethnic group quota is effective based on OTP submission date. Hence if your ethnic group is different from the seller or there have being records that the ethnic restriction is likely, I would advice that you have the mortgage component executed fast. Alternatively, you can contact your agent to assist you accordingly.
