Hello All,
Seeking help here on very complicated issues.
Man passed away.
His wife (legally ROM in SG) is a foreigner residing overseas. They have no children on their own but wife have children's on her own with another man whom she divorced long ago.
According to interstate law, the wife entitled 50% and mother (the only surviving parent also 50%).
The wife doesn't wants to sell the HDB, keeps giving excuses and delaying. Main thing is the mother is very old and sick. The wife is also the one in control for the letters of administration.
Question 1: If anything happens to mother, will the wife gets 100% of the HDB?
Question 2: Mother has WILL for her daughters. Any chance the 50% of HDB be given to daughters instead of all 100% to the man's wife?
Question 3: What type of lawyers can help on such case? Possible need to deal with foreign lawyers? The man's wife is in oversea (well educated - english speaking). She is also not providing allowance to the mother.
Need lots of help, we are at lost. The wife came as a surprised to us, and we do not wish to lose the house to someone we are very stranger with. She is aware of SG laws very well.
