Dear Sir,
I have a 4 room HDB 550426 staying for 34 years already together with my mother
I gave money to my parent and care for them all this years since i started working in 1990

My children grow up and Due to conjection, i would like to apply for another HDB
I would like to keep my this HDB to my mother and transfer name to her.My mother 90 years old worried that if she pass on, my 3 elder brother will share the selling , May i ask can she do a will & let me get all the amount ? instead of just the CPF? i know the current way is HDB will divide among the children

If there were no solution, then i just have to continue to own this 4 room HDB
please advise , thanks

Hi there!
You are correct, without a will, it will be divided among you and your siblings. Fortunately, with a will, it can be specified how the interest in the flat will be distributed (e.g. 100% to you).
Happy to chat & give you more info. Feel free to reach me at 90088123  .

Dear sir/mdm,

For transfer of names to your mother, it has to be approved by HDB and also whatever funds you have utilised through CPF for this property needs to be refunded to your CPF account including of the accrued interest. Once you have cleared the above 2, yes, you can have a will drafted to indicate that the property will be left to you or alternative arrangements.

I have been in the real estate business since 2009, with more than 13 years of experience serving the Singapore real estate market.

I am very active in the residential segment of Singapore real estate market, having transacted hundreds of deals from HDBs to private condominiums and landed properties in Singapore, and have handled many unique cases in sales and purchases as well as rental deals.

Over the years, I have also established a network reaching out to more than 9,400 expatriates, bringing my market presence to both in and outside of Singapore. Hi

Yes your mother can prepare a will once your share of property is being transferred to her. However a bigger hindrance that I can anticipate is the process of withdrawing your name to the house. Your mom will need to refund you CPF principal+accrued interest on the CPF that you have used for the flat. I am specialised in HDB transactions. Do contact me at 93375051  for a free and non obligatory discussion on this.
