Dear Gurus, Need your expertise I am a Singapore PR already holding a HDB Flat bought with my parents who are Singapore Citizens.We have completed MOP for the HDB flat. I wanted to move out as i got married. My wife is Singapore PR as well (completed only 2 years). My Wife does not hold any property here. We wanted to buy 2 bedroom condo for 500k-600k budget. My wife gets annual income of 40-45k and myself 120k. As i am supporting my parents, my name cannot be removed from the current HDB flat. Can we buy a condo solely under my wife's name ? Does her annual income allows the budget capacity that we are looking for ? How much ABSD we need to pay in this case ?

Evening, If you are to purchase the private property with your spouse, you are required to remove your ownership status from the HDB unit. Your parents will then be required to repay you the amount of CPF and interest that you have utilized, be it with another mortgage loan or cash. As for your spouse-to-be, with her income, it will be challenging even to purchase one bedroom unit as I would deem that she have limited CPF fundings. Good evening, Yes, she can purchase a private property solely under her name. Why not I get some bankers to advise her on her In Principle Approval to gauge how much is she able to loan from banks.
