Dear Gurus,

My parents, husband and I are planning to purchase a resale HDB. Out of the 4 applicants, only my father is a SC the others are PRS(>3years).

Currently, my mother and brother have bought a flat together. Plan to transfer ownership of the flat to my brother.

My father has previously bought two flats under his name, one from the resale market and the other from HDB. Both with HDB loan.

Now for our planned purchase, we plan to take a bank loan.

My question is, no need to pay 40,000 resale levy since buying resale? Since of the applicants is a SC no need to pay the additional stamp duty of 5% charged for PRS?

Hi,

For the resale levy, based on the limited info you have shared, I don't think its applicable. Unless there's outstanding resale levy unpaid for the previous subsidized flat , best is to check with hdb.

ABSD of 5% will apply since its not your dad's 1st matrimonial home purchase, and there's an PR owner in the application.

Thanks and hope to assist with your purchase further.

Warm regards
