Dear Gurus,

I am currently co-owning a resale 4A HDB unit with outstanding of <$200k. We are intending to sell off the flat and buy a resale using bank loan although we are still eligible for a 2nd hdb loan.

Prob is, in the last couple of mths.. My credit rating doesn't look so good due to 2 default payments. I have a total of 30k debt (cc and personal loans) all under my name, which I intend to clear off using the cash proceeds from sale of my flat.

My combined income w hubby is 60k/annum.. Avg 30k each. We have abt 98k in our combined CPF OA. So for our next flat, will it be possible to apply bank loan under my hubby's name since his CB record is clean? Coz What I know is even if we clear off all debts, records will still remain for at least 6mths.

Can anyone who has been in this situation please advise, thx!

Afternoon,

As per your statement, if you have only missed a few payments, it would be easy to appeal your case through. I have encountered a few clients with rather bad credit but still managed to get a mortgage loan. However, it's still up to the individual bank's decision.
