Cashing in now or keep on renting?

I currently have a condo that is being tenanted until the end of September. In all likelihood, they will most probably be moving out.

Seeing that I have made gains of approximately 100% from the original purchase price, I am in a dilemma whether to look for another tenant or to cash in and sell it off.

Even though I don't need the money, I'm thinking about another downturn that seems to be imminent, so pondered about cashing in and wait for the next 'up cycle'.

Please note, that I do have other properties in my portfolio. 1 HDB rented out, and another condo that should TOP end 2013.

Afternoon,

With 100% profit, it might be good to cash it out and invest the profit in something else. You can also use the monies from that condo to finance your upcoming unit.

Recently my client bought a condo while 'holding' on to a HDB flat. They need the 'funds' for the condo and hence, has to sell the HDB unit. Hi Kenlin,

A bold move will be to cash out both your condo units and divert your investment into landed property. Why? The number of landed properties in Singapore has been shrinking therefore the supply has dropped, which means the value should be at least maintaining if not increasing.
