About SkyTerrace @ Dawson
SkyTerrace @ Dawson is a 99-years leasehold condominium located at the Dawson Road, 142090 at District 03(Alexandra/ Commonwealth) of Singapore. SkyTerrace @ Dawson is consisting of a total of 758 units and completed in 2015. The precinct is composed of five residential 40 to 43-story towers and a 4-story linear car-park podium. The residential towers and car-park podium are connected to sky bridges at every level, enabling the residents to enjoy an uninterrupted covered entry journey from the car parks to the lift lobbies and on to their apartments. Block planning takes advantage of the site’s long north and south boundaries by aligning the residential towers along this axis, thereby maximizing the development’s north-south exposure and limiting frontage to the western sun.
SkyTerrace @ Dawson is developed and built by Scda Architects which is a design studio seamlessly integrating architecture, interiors, landscape, and product design to create holistic spatial experiences. Scda was commissioned by the Housing and Development Board (Hdb) to explore new possibilities in public housing design in Singapore. The resulting design solution embodies three key ideas: housing in a park, connectivity to surroundings, and multi-generational living. The project is located in Dawson Estate, by Margaret Drive on the north and by Dawson Road on the west.
SkyTerrace @ Dawson – Unique Selling Points
SkyTerrace @ Dawson features sustainable design technologies such as drip irrigation, rainwater harvesting, bio-retention basins, and solar energy systems. Skyterrace @Dawson is a Greenmark Platinum project and was conferred the Public Utilities Board ABC Water Certification and the HDB Innovative Design Award in 2010. This project site will have seamless connectivity to greenery on three sides. This green concept is expanded further by introducing lush landscaping on the ground place that travels up the building facades in the form of green terracing, roof gardens, and green sky terraces spanning between the towers. The third design idea reinforces the idea of multi-generational living and community building by providing the spatial framework for extended families to occupy interconnected loft units. These loft units are designed to allow the possibility of combining a paired double-story four - or four-room unit with a studio apartment

Love the terraced gardens
I live in the tallest block within Sky Terrace. While it is such a tall building, I like how it has been broken up into levels with terraced gardens. In fact, the entire project carefully uses landscaping to tone down the imposing concrete and glass facade. I’ve been living here for the past two years. I work on Orchard Road, which is just a 10-minute drive from here. There are retail stores and a hawker centre nearby.

Reminds me of NY
When I moved back to Singapore from New York, I missed the city a lot, and maybe more than that, my loft there for three years. When I saw loft-style apartments at Sky Terrace, I just had to rent one. The ceiling height is 5.4 metres, very rare especially for an HDB project. A lot of natural light comes into the house, and the owner has also built a furniture deck inside that works as a mini-office.

Wonderful views and easy access
I bought a four-bedroom flat at Sky Terrace at Dawson in 2017. The project is nicely spread out with plenty of areas for jogging or taking my dog for a walk. Tiong Bahry Plaza is not too far away. Even Marina Bay is just 15 minutes away. In fact, walking in and out of Sky Terrace is so pleasing because of the greenery that lines the walkways. The Queeenstown MRT station is a short stroll away.
