location really cannot beat

staying at Emerald Garden for a few years already; the location really cannot beat. plus huge unit sizes and 999-year tenure. Telok Ayer MRT is just a short walk through the back gate, Maxwell MRT also nearby and i cannot go hungry. Maxwell Food Centre, Lau Pa Sat, Amoy and plenty of cafes all within walking distance... most days I don't even need to take transport for lunch or groceries. anyways, despite being right in the CBD, the condo itself feels surprisingly peaceful. once i'm inside the estate, there's a v cosy garden atmosphere and doesn't feel like I'm in the middle of the city. pool has been renovated and common areas also refreshed so the whole place feels cleaner, newer.

walk to office in CBD

stayed at Emerald Garden while working nearby and really enjoyed the experience. everyday I could just walk to my office in the CBD within 10 mins. gg home after work also very shiok because no need squeeze MRT. can walk to chinatown also and walk home after drinking at the bar. overall Emerald Garden is a hidden gem (at least for me lah) if you work in the city and appreciate bigger living spaces. tis is probably one of the most underrated condos in Singapore. Many people overlook it because of the age (b: 1998).

diff feels chinese style condo

Emerald Garden condo has a very different feel compared to newer developments. architecture is quite oldschool Chinese style which some people may not like, but I actually think it gives the place character. fountain at the entrance also looks quite grand. quite a contrast from the pulsing modern nightlife nearby (weekends can still hear some noise from the nearby bars depending on which stack you're staying). Facilities are decent. but of course not perfect. some units still have older fittings and pool also isn't very long if wan to swim proper laps.
