  I stay in a 3rd storey flat in block 97 Orchard Court. I began a 2 year tenancy recently. However, I would like to know where I stand in the midst of the agreement. Am I a tenant or subtenant? I am confused as my agreement does not state where I stand. Am I a subtenant of landlord? Is he himself a tenant of the reversion interest owner?

  I noticed through INLIS, that Orchard Court’s owner was the then Minister of Finance. In the case of redevelopment or compulsory acquisition, does the owner of the land (Minister of Finance) have a say?

  I own a flat in Block 97, Orchard Court, and I am currently leasing it to a tenant for a period of 3 years. Let’s say, hypothetically, in the event of an unexpected event such as a compulsory acquisition of the land, what would happen to my tenant and me? What of the lease between me and my tenant?
