Getting around in Yishun

For a relatively young town, Yishun has the hallmarks of a matured estate, which makes getting around easy. This is exemplified by how the many arterial and main roads connect to major expressway as well as two prominent MRT stations and dedicated bus interchange. 

This bodes well for residents and future residents for upcoming new estates in Yishun because getting around won’t be difficult at all.

Getting around: Yishun MRT station

Situated along Yishun Ave 2 and next to Northpoint City, Yishun MRT station on the North-south line is four stops from Bishan MRT interchange and nine stops from Orchard MRT station.

Yishun interchange
The bus interchange temporarily sits along Yishun Central, behind GV Yishun. Once the permanent structure is up, it’ll add modern conveniences to the residents. 

Khatib MRT station
Situated along Yishun Ave 2 but closer to ORTO, Khatib MRT station is one stop from Yishun. It’s a more convenient for people who live in and around Yishun Ave 1.

North-south corridor
With an expected completion date of 2023, the $7-8 billion, the North-South Corridor (NSC) will be Singapore’s 11th expressway. It will connect the East-Coast Parkway (ECP) expressway with the northern areas of Singapore.
