Parks and Nature

There are plans for Tengah to be developed into a new HDB estate with lots of nature and greenery including a new 20-ha Central Park. However, those living in Tengah already have three nearby parks.

The Bukit Batok Town Park is fondly known as Little Guilin because the park has a large granite rock that sits in a lake which resembles the rock formations in Guilin, China. The famous rock in the park is often found in many wedding photos! Bird watchers and photographers can also be found indulging in their hobby at the park.

Those who enjoy history will love Bukit Batok Nature Park which has a memorial plaque paying tribute to the soldiers and victims of World War II. Cross-country runners will also love the park with its meandering footpaths through a secondary forest and an abandoned quarry.

Choa Chu Kang Park is ideal for families! Teenagers will enjoy the skate plaza while their parents work up a sweat at the fitness stations. Grandparents can take a leisurely stroll among remnants of former fruit tree plantations or nurture their green thumbs at their allotment gardening plot. In the evening, the whole family can head to one of the restaurants in the park for a hearty meal together.
