A new regional centre is a big deal for all the jobs it potentially brings. While the Aerospace continually expands, the surrounding areas of Seletar are experiencing growth to accommodate the influx of companies and people. But while new BTOs and condos are to be expected, the glue that binds it all together is the lifestyle components. To that end, Seletar is nowhere near as sparse or alienated as you might think:
Entertainment in Seletar
Seletar Mall, a four-storey suburban mall located along Fernvale Road is walking distance from Layar LRT, past Pei Hwa Secondary. It is also about a 10-minute walk from Thaggam LRT station or one stop away. Three anchor tenants – NTUCFairPrice Finest, NTUC FoodFare & SHAW Theatres – makes up the triumvirate at Seletar Mall, delivering convenience and entertainment to residents in the area.
Another notable location is the Seletar Hill Restaurant. Situated at Jalan Selaseh and known for its polite staff, fast service and delicious food at reasonable prices, this family-run eatery is a popular spot.

Greenwich V is also another small retail mall with more eateries. This is situated along Seletar Road via Yio Chu Kang Road. Residents will find a Cold Storage here as well as an Anytime Fitness gym.
At Seletar West Farmway, there’s the Seletar Animal Farm or resort. Opened in 2002, the resort is free daily from 10am – 5pm. It’s a throwback to the rural, kampong days of Singapore. The only things you’ll need to pay for are the food to feed the animals, including horses.
If rural life isn’t your cup of tea, then the Seletar Country Club located at Seletar Club Road via Seletar West Link with its golf courses, dining options, bowling and other facilities might tickle your fancy. If you’d prefer a quieter time however, then swing by the Seletar Reservoir and enjoy the soothing waters and cool weather.
Other notable locations in Seletar include Seletar Rocket Tower at Upper Seletar Reservoir Park, Seletar Island and Seletar Earth Station; Singapore’s first satellite.
