    Great Place for Fanily

    Am a new owner . Been staying here for the last couple of months . Initially was skeptical after reading the reviews on the management committee being high-handed and such . After staying there , found out that the reviews were made during the reigned of the old management which had since been replaced . The present MC is great and very approachable and have the welfare of the residents and upkeep of the condominium at heart . My kids love the love as it is only a mere 2 mins walk to the mrt and with a well equipped gym . Greenery is everywhere which is the pull reason for us to buy the unit as a home . Will make great investment too for the future . Looking forward to the latest master plan for the area . No regrets whatsoever

    Not a Family Place

    Bought a unit last year . Totally regret it ! The neighbours are unfriendly and the MCST is non-existence and ran totally like a military outfit as mentioned by a previous review . Can’t wait for the 3 years to be up and move out of here If buying for rental , Good for rental to the Indian community that works in the surrounding Changi area

    Estate bullies new owners

    The old residents of the estate are very scheming, they want new owners to respect them. They complain about visitors and contractors of new owners and renovation works out of jealously because their own units are old. Even simple weekend TV delivery, they want to disturb. These cheapskate old owners used estate's water to wash their cars in basement for free, causing moulds on carpark walls and foul sewage smells. Roof leaking and illegal lofts on upper floor units.

    Condo is managed like an army camp

    Toxic MCST helmed by the same chairman and his friend for years and refused to step down for others to lead. They hindered the participation of new residents into the council. It is also stressful for visitors to visit us and the council regularly snitches on neighbours, making living there like an army camp.

    Leaking basement carpark, wall facade and water pipes in the past years and MA (unchanged for years) is passive. Arrogant guard, no entry security-pass for residents and terrible gym.

    Enbloc Review

    Enbloc failed miserably with just 55% support because committee was dominated by 2BR owners, unfair paid-outs to 3BR units. This is just a walk-up but yet distributions were so skewed.

    Misled by Earlier Reviews

    Seriously, I felt cheated by the earlier reviews about this condo. I went to view a room for rent lately. I want to give a more accurate picture. Full Five Stars for Transport because it is near a train station but that's all. The estate is run-down, overgrown vegetations, rude chinese guard towards visitor, poorly maintained gym, etc I really don't understand how people could award 5-stars for amenities, property management and common areas.

    Gem to be discovered by lucky ones!

    These residents are just waiting for the Downtown Line to be opened next year to see their big spaced units and 999LH property to be appreciated greatly! I can see why after viewing one unit there and still hoping they are more available in the market after the one I saw was sold so quickly (my bad luck)!! Where to find huge space, 999lh (as good as Freehold!) landed exclusive feeling, and high double volume living esp for the #03 units, which some residents built lofts in their bedrooms, doubling their space! Such spacious living in SG , esp one that is just next to MRT (2017) and it is 999lh might be just this one property for now! And SUTD and Changi BizPark are so near, tenancy seemed easier as compared to rest if price realistic. Priced gem! wonder if there is enbloc potential too?!

    A True Rare Gem In Singapore

    I viewed several units in Tropicana in January 2013 and was about to buy until the new rulings were introduced. An impossibility now with the additional 10% absd and 50% loan to value. Will share my opinion on Tropicana though: I honestly think this condo has gone unnoticed by the masses. With opposite condos selling at above $1200-1400 psf, its unimaginable to think a low density condo like tropicana has a recent transaction of $850 psf for a two storey unit. Tropicana might be severely undervalued at the moment, due to the ongoing construction of the Upp Changi MRT station at its doorstep. I believe that this condo's price will shoot up 40-60 percent by the time the MRT and the university is completed. Positive points: 1. Right next to Upper Changi MRT station 2. Honestly too cheap for 999years property. Strange that is even cheaper than 99 year EC unit. 3. Due to ongoing construction, prices are still on the low side. 4. Low density, only 40 units I believe. 5. Very spacious, units are around 1600 to 1700 sqft 6. Singapore University of Technology opening in 2014, campus is right next to it, likely to boost rental demand by visiting students and academic staff. 7. Very quiet environment, mostly singaporean families and retirees around. Though that might change soon. Negative points: 1. Construction of MRT station for the next 2-3 years 2. Road alignments due to construction are rather inconvenient 3. Perhaps more suitable for investors looking to rent out short term and cash in once MRT is ready.

    Tropicana - A Rare Gem in the East

    I discovered this rare gem in the east. It is nested in a quiet residential surrounded by landed properties. What makes this property even more attractive is the future MRT station (Upper Changi Station U/C) right at the door step (by 2017) and the 4th University (U/C) just across the road (by 2015). There are lots of shopping/activities at the EXPO and Changi City Point which are all within walking distance. In Changi City Point itself, there is a Cold Storage supermarket. Next to it (UE BizHub EAST), there is a NTUC supermarket. If you drive, there are 3 major expressways (PIE, TPE, ECP) to choose from, which makes driving very convenient. To make it even more value for money, this is a 999 yrs LH property. My personal opinion is it is very worth for own stay or investment and I can foresee that the price of this property might appreciate once the University and MRT are ready.
