The upside is that you're essentially living in landed property in a developed/mature HDB estate, ie easy access to Bendemeer hawker centre, 7-eleven, neighbourhood eateries, laundromat, DBS bank in Towner Road, etc. But because the development is bounded by tall HDB flats, some units/parts of the house may be a bit dark. Also each front gate opens onto a pathway which is used by the public, and is fronted by a road leading into the HDB estate. So do not expect a heavily gated community.

Can't wait to move out
We were told by the agent that tenants were screened and that mostly families living at Townerville. Within 10 months, we've encountered neighbors' dogs barking non-stop, people who parked in front of our house using our trash bins, empty houses being renovated, back lane having construction, neighbors throwing parties way past 3 in the morning, neighbors walking their dogs on the small grass patch in front of our house every single evening, garbage disposal staff slamming the trash bins every single morning, neighbors slamming their gates. This place is also mosquito infested. Unfortunately we've got a 2 year lease so will have to stick to this for another 1 year 2 months. The space doesn't make up for the shortcomings of this place.
