Nice condo but horrible management.
This condo is beautiful and peaceful but quite old with problems around the plumbing and cabling. A lot more humid than other condos I have stayed at. Close to nature, tanglin mall and dempsey, quiet overall and beautiful outside common areas. What is Horrible beyond imagination is the management. Dictatorship approach, totally contradictory to western ideals and way of thinking. If you are a pro freedom and private property sort of person you will find it hard to cope with. We received every few days threats like: If we see somethng not tidy we will confiscate your property. If somone doesnt go by the rules for the courts they will be banned from using the facilities for a month etc... If you dont like living in a dictatorship then avoid this place for your own personal hygiene :P. -

Great pool, no longer a family condo
Tanglin Park has changed. It has become a place for younger, child-free couples. This is fine, but do not expect a quiet family condo. The swimming pool is amazing, as are the tennis courts. But families should think of somewhere else. -

Great condo, old units
Fantastic condo to live in, large houses, good amenities. However, the development is very old which means that overall it has a dated look and the units are prone to issues like leakage. -

Lovely jungle condo but amateur management
Tanglin Park is a lovely condominium - green and lush, and rather quiet. With many wonderful features: wonderful pool area (was renovated and reopened in 2014), a fish pond, green parklike inner area with playful stone features that the kids love, a (almost, see below) nice playground. My husband loves to take the bus to CBD, so although there is no MRT station closeby (yet, will soon be) it works well for us.Dempsey Hill is on a walkable distance. Going there you can chose to take the "jungle route" and enjoy the black-and-white houses from outside.This is a condo for people who like kids because they are all over the place. Not so many dogs as some old reviews claim, and the dogs are all well behaved.The units are in various shape - quite many have been renovated only lightly. Mold is a common problem, especially in the lower floors.However, the management of the condo leaves much to wish for - I am not sure if it depends on the owners or the management, but:- there has been five managers in the last one year :-O - something must be seriously wrong!- the guards are changing at almost the same speed, the last decent ones was in year 2015- there are so many thefts happening around that one wonders who are the culprits? Bicycles, strollers, laptop from inside the unit, cameras, shoes (!), somebody even took an e-scooter!- the playground is DANGEROUS and the management still sits back and ponders if something needs to be done! Seriously?! The flying fox has been broken at least since 2014, one of the swings for six months, not to mention the rusted metal parts on the flying fox, the Seesaw and the climbing tower, where small fingers could be cut off! And holes in the ground - seen quite many falling and spraining their ankles.- FILTHY POOL water! Better not put on the goggles! The amount of floating particles is disgusting! -

Comfortable living
Low rising, full condo facilities, greenery around are an advantage.It is an old condo, a number of units are poorly renovated, some have plumbing issues. Internal units are quite, while those facing Tanglin Rd and Ridley Park (blocks 1B) are very noisy. Latest actual transaction prices are available on ura.gov.sg ( tools for the public, data for private residential properties)- e.g. 3-bed start from $4.4k rental per month. -

Matured low rise development on a vast pie r of land next to GCBA. Not next to amenities but very near to orchard road -

Dogs are everywhere
Dogs are often found roaming freely within the compound. My 2 years old had once been bitten by a unguarded rottweiler when she trying to go near.They allow dogs to be in the pool too. This is absurd and very often you can also found dog poo left by inconsiderate owner.Perfect if you are a true Dog lover. -

Dogs
If you love dogs you will love Tanglin Park. They roam freely using all the facilities.Barking will wake you up.Even seen dogs in swimming pool -

An Objective Assessment
An almost 'chalet' retro feel, Tanglin Park is situated on sprawling and beautiful greenery. One of the few condos to have both tennis and squash courts. Drawbacks of the place may include large balconies (a boon to some, a bane to others) and that many units remain un-renovated and somewhat dated. Notwithstanding, good value for money considering the great locality and unbeatable common areas. Some units facing the main Tanglin road are noisy. Looks newer than its TOP date suggests. -
