I have been living in this property for two years and it has surpassed my expectations. First, the property is surprisingly well-located. Exiting through the side gate and walking through the landed estate at Bright Hill Drive I can get to Thomson Plaza in under 10 minutes. It is also right opposite Ai Tong Primary School. For that reason, many Koreans rent units here to send their kids to school. Bishan Park is also a 15 minute walk away.
Second, unlike most mass market condos, there are not that many units here, approximately 150 or so. The estate is thus not very crowded. On evenings when I swim, the pool is usually empty. The tennis court, bbq pits, function room and gym are also usually not very crowded or overly booked. The landscaping of the pool is tastefully done and gives a resort feel.
Third, it is quite important to choose the property unit. My two bedroom unit at 936 square feet faces the bukit timah greenery, Singapore Island Country Club and the reservoirs. But the other units on the other sides may face the temple on Sin Ming Avenue which could depress prices. This is also why the 936 sq ft two bedders usually go for a much higher price.
Last,the surroundings are great. The HDB flats near the estate are maisonettes which themselves go at high prices. Otherwise, there are other older but well-maintained condos around amongst the many greenery.
Even though I plan to buy a bigger place, I intend to keep this for rental market for this property is great given Ai Tong Primary School.
just moved there; appartment size really what's marketed (on the contrary of some new developpement where air cond area is totally oversized...), enjoying a small balcony. lot of wind, probably due to the fact it sits on the top of the hill. Condo nice, facilities well designed and sufficient.
This is really a "Family man" condo dues to the near-by famous school. it is near nature if you like, and altough there is no shop at the very bottom, you can take easily a few minutes walk the to near-by HDB shop or shopping center.
I quite enjoy the place and find it a good compromise if you want to avoid the city stress but do not want to be too far either, with shopping mall and restaurant area for the extras..
