good layouts
the floor plans for Aurea former Golden Mile look efficient, with dumbbell layouts that distribute evenly without wasting space despite the square foot being slightly small (normal for homes nowadays). there's penthouse too, with marble floor and private lift. think for the historical significance, and the care for the design, it's well priced like affordable luxury. -

Golden Mile glory
Aurea is an upcoming 2030 project that stands on the site of the former Golden Mile Complex, now reconstructed into luxury glory. from the models, it looks like they will try to keep elements of the historical brutalist commercial complex and build residential tower above it. while hiring the evolved form of the original architects who designed it. DP Architects. quite smart and glad for efforts to literally build on existing history -

Consider your needs wisely before making deci
This condo is one of the options that our family is considering. We currently do not have kids but may be looking to expand our family in the near future. We are first drawn to the location of this development. It's replacing Golden Mile Complex, which we used to frequent. There are EV lots in the carpark which is great because we own an EV car. Many shopping malls are within a few bus stops away for retail and food option. Negative points about the Aurea are that there are only 4 EV lots, so we may not be able to charge our car whenever we need to. There is only 1 preschool (if I'm not wrong) opposite, and if we don't manage to get a slot there for our child, we will have to spend time sending our child to and fro school outside of the area. -

There are some good and bad points to mention about the Aurea dvlpment. Good: Fantastic and accessible location, near to town, various eateries nearby Bad: Lack of good schools nearby, limited preschool options nearby, situated in high traffic area, not a freehold proj More suitable for expats and families without kids to enjoy the cultural scene, nightlife, and convenience that the condo has to offer. -

Revamped Golden Mile Complex into a mixed-use
Why it appeals: City fringe locations are always in high demand because of their desirable location. And it doesn't get better than the site where the old Golden Mile Complex is situated. Imagine just being minutes away from nicoll highway mrt. On top of that, you can walk to either Bugis or Lavender. Even got a hawker centre opposite for affordable and delicious food. It will also be interesting to see the new design for Aurea and how it will pay homage to its predecessor, the famous and iconic Golden Mile Complex. Why it might not suit you: Aurea is going to be redeveloped as a mixed-use development. That's usually a plus point. However, when you consider the history of Golden Mile Complex, the crowd can get a bit messy. Also, Golden Mile Tower is still in operation. -
