Why i have to pay the levy when purchase a new flat direct from HDB? The first flat was sold after 5 yrs and i did not take any govt grant at that time. After sold my first flat i brought a resale flat and also sold after 5 yrs as divorcing at that time. Now i want to get a new flat from HDB and they want me to pay the resale levy from the dat i sold my first flat. Please help.

Is your first unit a direct purchase from HDB or selection of balance flat?
By answering that question should clear the mystery.
