My girlfriend is in a midst of a divorce, and she currently owns a HDB. Im currently single and do not own any residential property. We are planning to get married this year, is it possible to get BTO or Resale? Can we get any grants?

Regarding your inquiry, there are a few obstacles to overcome, specifically:

a) Is the unit owned jointly or solely?
b) Has the Final Judgment been delivered?
c) Did she apply the housing grant to the current unit?
d) What is your current combined income situation?

The details of the Final Judgment will indicate how the current unit should be handled, and once this step is completed, the two of you can move on to the next stage.

Assuming both of you are SC, and she has utilized the Housing Grant for her current unit, you would still qualify for a half-grant, depending on your income situation.

By the way, unfortunately you are not able to purchase any flat with her at the moment. Basically your gf will have to await for the final judgement from the court and then to dispose off the existing flat that she own with her ex husband, and then after that will she be eligible to purchase the next flat together with you. Are you 35 years old yet? If your girlfriend has taken grant before, only you will be eligible for first timer grant for resale, so it will be half the amount. You will also have to be within the income ceiling, and do not own other private property. She also needs to sell away her existing HDB, if she decides to buy another with you. Has her MOP of 5 years being fulfilled?
