Hi,

Once your name becomes a co-owner of the EC, you have to fulfil MOP of 5 years of EC before you can purchase HDB with your future spouse. A 30-month wait out period in addition to the 5 years also applies if you are going for BTO instead of resale HDB.

Morning,

Do note that if the EC is a direct purchase from HDB, you will be considered as having enjoyed one time subsidized unit. If it's resale unit, you will need to wait for 30 months after sales in order to be eligible for application of BTO unit

Hi,

Your suggestion would mean implications on your future house ownership- as you will need to dispose off the EC / with grants given you will be liable for resale levy etc. Perhaps your suggestion may not be the best of ideas.
