I have paid a 1 month rental deposit for a bed space in a student hostel without signing the tenancy agreement or any LOI. The hostel management insists that I must sign the tenancy agreement at their office during office hours but I am not able to do it because I am working as well. I am kinda stuck. Can I just demand for the deposit back then look elsewhere for an apartment to rent? Thank you GURUS for your advice.

interesting..assuming that you are on student pass, staying in a hostel and working.. "you risk being caught" i suggest that you focus to
complete your studies.

    Thank you very much for your reply. It is an internship secured through my school. So that is not an issue with MOM.

    Thank you and it would be great if you can share with me your view about my current situation. At this moment, i am not staying in THAT particular hostel but MOVING in.
