I am a Singaporean who currently works and live in Australia. The current HDB flat that I have is registered with my name and my father. I would like to know my eligibility to buy another HDB and whether I can use my CPF to service my loan.

I am open to buying a private property but would prefer to get a HDB if possible.

Would appreciate any advises.

Der Fion,

As you are currently the registered owner (with your father) of your current flat, you are not eligible to buy another HDB flat, while holding onto the current flat.

And if you complete your Minimum Occupation Period, you can choose to buy a private property. If you have been using CPF to service the current flat, you have to meet the minimum sum requirement in order to service a 2nd property with CPF.
