Hi,just like to ask what is the point of having a one (or two)year contract in a property rental where either the landlord and tenant can serve notice within the specified months to terminate the tenancy agreement?

By the way, I think you may have misinterpreted the rental tenancy wrongly as the tenant or landlord cannot serve notice and to terminate the lease as and when they like.
