Hi,

We purchased HDB flat last November 2014, and for whatever reasons, I lost my job last April 2016 and did not find any employment, since we did not meet the MOP we are not allowed to sell or to rent out the whole flat, but we are not be able to pay the monthly installment and the HDB branch officer advised us to dispose or to surrender the flat to HDB, may I know if there is other options? thank you

Afternoon,

You have being jobless for less than two months and HDB officers have already paid their visit to your unit? You might want to appeal for longer time grace while you continue to hunt for a job. Should you opt to sell the unit back to HDB now, you will be liable for SSD payment.
