Hi,
Recently I bought a BTO and made downpayment already. At that time, both me and my wife are listed as flat owners. The estimated moving-in time is 2021.
For current case, can I still do decoupling on the BTO? And if yes, can the occupier buy 2nd private property without paying ABSD? And if we do decoupling, the CPF will only be deducted from the owner's account, right?
Thanks a lot

Hi,

Decoupling is not applicable for all HDB flats. And there is no chance for you to purchase a private residential property until you have fulfilled your 5-year MOP which is in 2026.

You can however purchase non-residential private properties, and not be subjected to MOP rule or ABSD. However, CPF cannot be used for such properties.

Should you need any further assistance in matters relating to property, please contact me at my mobile 9748 6305  . I will be happy to assess and share with you the possibilities for you and your partner in the current market.

Thank you.

Best regards,
