Good morning! Foreigners are only eligible to purchase condominium and apartments in Singapore. HDB are public housing which only Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent residents are eligible to purchase. Freehold is one of the strata titled tenure terms. Others will be 99 years, 999 years etc which also meant how long you can hold on to the unit. Foreigners will be subject to additional buyer's stamp duty of 15% (of purchase price) plus buyer's stamp duty of 3% x purchase price -$5400 (which is applicable to all buyers).
