Government Housing and Urban Development Corporation was initiated by the Singapore Government to develop flats at affordable price with roomy interiors. In 1995, the Government handed over this project to private sector.

How is this a condo?

The rental price listed is ridiculous when they are no facilities whatsoever. Agents just copy paste from other listings and state the condo has a swimming pool, barbeque pit etc etc. I only find out when I physically visited the place. Waste of time. There are many properties nearby that has facilities and rents are cheaper than this miserable so called condo.

Quiet enclave that is convenient and tranquil

Ivory Heights is a rare gem because it is very spacious compared to the newer apartments, it is near the Science Centre (great for families), it is near beautiful parks by foot, it is a short walk to the MRT and several malls and a hospital, plus there is a library and amenities nearby. It’s got so much going for it. It might not have a pool as it was a HUDC, but it is so private, safe and large in its compound. That makes up for it tbh.

overhyped and priced by greedy owners

zero facilities, old and overpriced. basically paying conservancy fees for a fenced up old HDB. the price is 3 times more expensive than the HDB opposite.
