  HDB House Property Guru Hello gurus, Hope you’re doing well. We are considering to move in new HDB (upgrade from current 4 rooms). MOP is going to complete in Dec 2020. Few targetted questions where we need your advice. 1. Would buying a HDB in Central/ Harbourfront ahead make more sense compared to other locations like Punggol. Would you share an insight article or your suggestion on location standpoint. Keeping in view we’ve lost about 10% of property value in our current HDB. 2. Which HDB housing area would have significant improvement over past 5 years vs downfall 3. MOP in Dec can we list our current HDB in September.   Does most agents do contra in HDB deal? We're considering to sell our High Floor 4 rm HDB Resale flat at Cantonment Close and buy another 4 rm HDB flat at Skyville@Dawson. Just curious: Is there any HDB rule cannot downgrade from 4 rm to 3 rm? From 4 rm to 4 rm is it no problem? We do not know how to calculate our financial affordability, so we need some help to see if we can afford the flat there at Dawson. We bought our Cantonment flat at $510k. Current Outstanding Loan is $276k. HDB Loan until Nov 2038. If we were to sell it at about $820k - $850k, we can budget roughly how much for the flat at Skyville@Dawson? We have a HDB grant for our first flat at Cantonment. Are we still able to get any HDB Grant now?

I am aware we can quality under the Non-citizen scheme if we get an LTVP for our mother. My question is, can two siblings buy a resale HDB together under this scheme or is it just one of us? Thanks!

  Hi, we are SPR couple currently own an HDB for more than 5 years and planning to buy another resale HDB. Can we buy the HDB first before selling the existing flat? Do we need to pay ABSD, or do we qualify for remission? Thank you
